Palermo Shrine (パレルモの神殿, Parerumo no Shinden) is a location in Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon.

To unlock Palermo Shrine, Aaron and Aria must fully assemble the tablet fragments. After this, Barrett reveals that Fiersome, the Elder Dragon god of fire, is sealed far below the town. The tablet proclaims that when Fiersome's seal breaks, this avatar of destruction will break forth and destroy the world. However, according to the tablet, the seal should have broken years ago.

The Dragon God is so powerful that the only way a mortal could have a chance of defeating him is with the Dragon Break spell. He forbids Aaron and Aria from trying to investigate, themselves, hides the Dragon Break spell, and tells them to forget about it since they don't have a way to get deep below the earth where the dragon is sealed, anyway. But that's where he's wrong.

At this point, Aaron and Aria can ask Byron to add a 28th floor to the Monster Barn. When they visit, they discover a hole has collapsed in the floor. Jumping down brings them to Palermo Shrine. To bring a monster, talk to one as usual, and then walk back inside the barn.

Level 1: Revealing the Dragons

This dungeon proceeds in two phases. First, Aaron and Aria must reveal the dragon reliefs. To do so, they must flip all the dungeon's switches in the proper order. The order is presented below:

1 B2F Room 5 From the Great Hall, go down the stairs.

Go west to Room 5.

2 B2F Room 6 From the Great Hall, go east, then go down the stairs.

In B2F, go north to Room 6. The switch is behind the Little Golem Gate.

3 B2F Room 2 From the Great Hall, go west, then head down the stairs.

From B2F Room 1, go north to Room 2. The switch is at the north end of the room.

4 B3F Room 7 From the Great Hall, go west, then go down the stairs.

From B2F Room 1, go north to Room 2.

Go southeast to B2F Room 3 and go down the stairs.

Head east from B3F Room 1 to Room 2, then north to Room 5.

From Room 5, head east to Room 7. The switch is at the north end of the room.

5 B3F Room 4 From the Great Hall, go west, then go down the stairs.

From B2F Room 1, go north to Room 2.

Go southeast to B2F Room 3 and go down the stairs.

Go east all the way to Room 3, then head north. The doors will disappear.

The switch in Room 4 can't be flipped until the monsters are defeated. To pass back through Room 3, the monsters there need to be defeated, too.

6 B3F Room 8 From the Great Hall, go west, then go down the stairs.

From B2F Room 1, go north to Room 2.

Go southeast to B2F Room 3 and go down the stairs.

Go east to Room 2, then north all the way to Room 8. The pedestal at the north end can't be properly examined until all the monsters are defeated.

7 Mini Garden From the Great Hall, go east and go down the stairs.

Go north to Room 8. Now that all the switches are flipped, the doors blocking the way will disappear.

Go down the stairs in Room 8 to reach Mini Garden.

In the Mini Garden, examine the pedestal at the north end of the room. Defeat all 8 stages of monsters to reveal the last dragon image.


Level 2: Appeasing the Seasonal Statues

Once both the dragon images have been revealed, Aaron and Aria can return to the Great Hall and check the pedestals at the north. The reliefes are revealed there, too, and the gate to the north disappears.

Now they can go down the stairs in B1F North Room and reach the 4-Seasons Hallway, where they have to appease each of the seasonal statues. The crops each statue demands must be fully mature in the field before they will disappear.

A. Shrine Entrance

Stand in the center of the room to return to the 28th Barn floor. There is a save point at the north exit.

B. Great Hall

The stairs here lead down to B2F Room 4. The way north won't open until both dragon images are revealed. After revealing them, check the pedestals. Inquisitive Waltz only triggers in the northeast corner of the room.

E. North Room

The door to this room only opens after both dragon images are revealed. The stairs lead down to 4 Seasons Hallway.

Room 1

The stairs lead to B1F West Room. The door to the north will open when the switch in B2F Room 6 is thrown.

Room 2

Notes on Rune Flowers, Rune Crystals, fruit trees, specifics on IW trigger locations. Inquisitive Waltz can be used at the north end of the room, near the switch.

The switch unlocks the eastern door in B2F Room 6. The door to the southeast will unlock when the switch in B2F Room 5 is thrown.

Room 3

The stairs here lead down to B3F Room 1.

Room 4

The stairs lead up to B1F Great Hall. There are mining stones here, and two farming plots with nearby fountains for the waterpot. Farming here isn't necessary to progress, but it can provide a much-needed RP boost if mature crops are left here.

Room 5

The switch in the north end of this room unlocks the north door in B2F Room 3. Inquisitive Waltz triggers in the west end of the room.

The switch here unlocks the door in B2F Room 1. Inquisitive Waltz can be used in the center of the room.

The stairs lead up to B1F East Room

Room 8

The stairs lead to the Mini Garden entrance area. Inquisitive Waltz works in the east end of the room.
