Beatrix de Sainte-Coquille (ボナパルト・ハッタイン・ヴィヴィアージュ Bonaparuto Hattain Viviāju) is a character in Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny.

Story[]
Beatrix is Electra's mother and the mayor of Fenith Island. She lost her wealth due to the downfall of the De Sainte-Coquille family, but she digs the hole in the back of her house in hopes of finding her fortune. You first meet her mining the hole in the back of the mansion. Treasure is her favorite thing to search for as well as enjoying many various foods. She is also known as the Mayor of Fenith Island.

Event #1[]
Beatrix will ask Aden if he has any time to talk; agreeing will let them appear in her backyard where she's mining. Aden will ask about her treasure hunting and she'll tell him that her intuition is telling her that there is treasure in her backyard. She says that going on adventures is the spice of life, which may be even more important than three meals a day.
Aden suggests that Beatrix should try going to sea, but explains that she has enough adventures here and already had to sell her boat anyway. Beatrix asks if Aden wants to 'jump into the world of adventuring' with her but he rejects, saying that he doesn't want to dig holes daily.
Event #2[]
Beatrix asks Aden once more if he has some spare time on his hands, and takes him to the dining room of the mansion. Unaware at what the object was that Beatrix showed him, she explains she found it on the beach and had high hopes it could be a treasure from long-forgotten civilization but was soon interrupted by Gerard, who upon closer inspection of the object exclaimed that is what nothing more than a piece of glass, perhaps off a broken bottle that washed ashore.
Disappointed, Beatrix exclaims to Gerard what he said was a realistic thing to say and saddened by the fact he did not pretend that there was a hint of romance and adventure involved. However, Gerald soon apologized and said he would do his best to pretend. While watching the predicament, Aden noticed that aside from the small arguments, Beatrix and Gerald were best friends albeit a strange pair.

Beatrix normally can be found in the dining hall of her mansion during daytime, and goes out to her garden to dig after having breakfast. She is in charge of some festivals, including Lucky Lotto.

- If you talk to her, she will eventually teach you knocking on doors to visit people outside of normal hours. Stand by door and move the right stick (PS3) or waggle the nunchuck (Wii).
