Godwin (ゴドウィン, Godōin) is a character in Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon.
He is the mayor of Kardia and his house is in the upper left corner of Kardia. He likes to reward hard work. His daughter, Felicity, has poor health. Godwin hopes the rural village's carefree environment will help her feel better. If you want to earn his approval to marry Felicity, you'll have to cure her sickness. Godwin also issues the permits necessary to gain entrance into the caves and dungeons surrounding the village. When you defeat the end boss of a cave, visit his house and he'll tell you what steps are needed to grant the next permit.

If you give Godwin a Radish, Potato, Cucumber, Cabbage, Tomato, Corn, Onion, Pumpkin, Eggplant, Carrot, Sweet Potato, Spinach, Green Pepper, or Bamboo Sprout, he will say "It's always nice to get [item] at the Harvest Festival."
Note: Although Godwin says the same line on receiving his Favorite and Liked Gift, effects on increasing friendship and love points are different.
